How to Set Up Box 39 and Box 41 for T4

How to setup Security options benefit to print to Box 38 and Security options deduction to print with Box 39 or Box 41.


There are 3 options under T4 Reporting related to Box 38 when setting up a benefit:

Box 38-Stock Option Benefits - will enter full benefit value in Box 38, and nothing for Box 39 and/or Box 41.

Box 38-Subject to sec. 110(1)(d) - will enter code 39withone-half of the amount reported under Box 38 plus full amount in Box 38.

Box 38-Subject to sec 110(1)(d.1) - will enter code41 with one-half of the amount reported under Box 38 plus full amount in Box 38
