System Manager

The System Manager module allows users to create and maintain Sage 300 databases, define security settings for user access and establish company-wide settings for currency and fiscal periods. Functionality is divided into two broad areas; Administrative Services, which defines security settings and allows users to copy or backup data sets, and Common Services, which defines fiscal calendar options and currency settings for the company. This course is designed to provide users with a comprehensive understanding of the ADMIN user functionality within Sage 300 in order to create and maintain secure Sage 300 databases.

General Ledger

The General Ledger is the heart and soul of an accounting system. Sage 300 offers tremendous flexibility in defining and working with the chart of accounts, and in preparing financial statements via Microsoft Excel. This course will provide users with a thorough understanding of the General Ledger module. Users will learn how to set up the module to meet the specific needs of their organization, establish a multi-segmented chart of accounts, and enter journal entry transactions. Users will also learn how to use the powerful inquiry functionality, establish budgets and perform year-end closing.

Accounts Receivable

Accounts Receivable allows users to manage and track customer transactions quickly and easily. This course will provide users with a thorough understanding of Accounts Receivable. Users will learn how to setup the module for their specific needs, define customers and customer groups, and record customer transactions. Users will also gain an understanding of transaction flow in Sage 300 and will learn how to perform bank reconciliations and tax reporting.

Accounts Payable

Accounts Payable allows users to track cash outflows to vendors and manage cash requirements to meet payment obligations. This course will provide users with a thorough understanding of Accounts Payable. Users will learn how to setup the module for their specific needs, define vendors and vendor groups, and record invoice and payment transactions. Users will also gain an understanding of transaction flow in Sage 300 and will learn how to perform bank reconciliations and tax reporting.

Inventory Control

Inventory Control is a comprehensive multi-location inventory management system that provides effective management of stock levels and inventory transactions. It forms the core of Sage 300’s Operations Management Suite of products, and allows users to enter transactions quickly and easily for the movement and tracking of inventory items. This course is designed to provide users with a comprehensive understanding of Inventory Control as it relates to the Operations Management Suite, and teaches users how to enter transactions directly in Inventory Control.

Order Entry

Order Entry allows users to enter and track customer orders and process invoices and sales returns. This course will train users on how to enter orders with ease and accuracy and convert orders into invoices. Entering estimates, standing orders, returns and debit notes, and tracking salesperson commissions will also be discussed.

Purchase Order

Purchase Orders allows users to enter and automate the purchasing process for inventory and non-stock items. This course will train users on how to enter purchase orders with ease and accuracy and convert orders into receipts and invoices for payment. Entering requisitions, standing and blanket orders, receipts, returns and debit notes, and automatically generating purchase orders will also be addressed.

Payroll

This class provides comprehensive training on the powerful Sage Accpac Payroll module. Learn how to set up earnings and deductions for accurate calculations, establish employee records and compensation information, and process payroll with ease. You will understand the simple payroll process and how to efficiently identify and correct problems with calculations, print and maintain employee checks and learn how to use the EFT product to process direct deposit payroll runs. Topics also include dealing with payroll taxes and reporting and submitting remittances, T4s, and payroll reporting and inquiry.

Beginner

This course covers the basic functionality of Crystal Reports as it relates to Sage 300. This course is designed to assist those with little or no experience creating new reports and editing existing reports. Topics covered in this course include understanding the Accpac tables and fields, how to connect to a database and table linking, as well as how to define groups, formulas, parameters, sort data and subreports.

Advanced

This course covers more advanced functionality of Crystal Reports as it relates to Sage 300. This course is designed for those who have some experience writing Crystal Reports or those who have attended the Beginner course. Topics covered in this course include subreport linking, passing values between subreports and main reports, local and shared variable declaration, arrays and conditional formulas. This course also discusses the steps necessary to extract the appropriate optional fields for a record, and how to suppress sections containing null value subreports.

The course will focus on Inventory, Project Management, Time and Billing, Budgeting, Departmental Accounting and related Financial Statements as well as Forms Customization.
